Kristen Bell & Jimmy Fallon Team Up for ‘History of Disney Songs’ Medley

Kristen Bell and Jimmy Fallon impressively pulled off a medley of 17 Disney classics in an over five-minute segment on the The The Tonight Show (November 13).

The host and the actress kicked off their performance with “When You Wish Upon a Star,” then effortlessly covered “Under the Sea,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” as well as a few songs from Frozen, as well as a quick rendition of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins.

Along the way, there were a few simple costume changes, a prop lion, and a flying rug for Aladdin. They finished with “Into the Unknown” from the upcoming Frozen 2, in which Bell stars as the voice of Anna.

For the finale, Bell gave it her all for “Let It Go,” complete with snow.

Kristen also hit the couch and talked to Jimmy about her brand new Disney+ show Encore and teases details about Frozen 2, which will hit theaters on November 22.

Kristen Bell & Idina Menzel set for rare double Walk of Fame honor

Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel will join an elite group of big names when they take part in a double star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Frozen stars will both be feted with the 2,681st and 2,682nd stars on November 19, 2019 – the day before the film’s much-anticipated sequel hits screens.

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame makes an extra special effort to pair artists who work together or are related with their stars next to each other,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “We are thrilled to place Kristen and Idina… together in front of Hollywood’s most historic theatres.”

Filmmakers Richard and Lauren Shuler Donner became the first pair to be honored on the same day with double stars back in 2008, while Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were also honored together, as were Kinky Boots co-creators Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein, and Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy.

TVLine has learned that the TV all-star (Veronica Mars, The Good Place) has signed on to reprise her role as Gossip Girl‘s omniscient narrator in HBO Max’s forthcoming reboot.

The original series’ creators, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, are on board to EP the new version alongside former Gossip Girl EP Joshua Safran, who will serve as showrunner. “Kristen Bell has always been and will always be the voice of Gossip Girl,” the trio said in a statement.

News of Bell’s official return comes fourth months after HBO Max placed a 10-episode order for a new iteration of the former CW hit that will “introduce a fresh crop of gorgeous Manhattan private-schoolers to Gossip Girl’s all-seeing eye.” Per the streaming service, the reboot “will address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.” [Source]

If you want to get Kristen Bell’s attention, might I suggest you transform into a fitness ball or a nutritional supplement, a back stretcher or a muscle roller on social media. “If I see it, I’m getting it,” the 39-year-old says of what could generally be referred to as wellness Instagram. “I can’t tell you how susceptible I am to it—I just want to try everything.”

It’s how she wound up with, to date, Yamuna Balls, resistance bands, gliding discs, foam rollers, KeVita drinks, Moon Juice Dust, powdered camel milk, Sun Potion adaptogens, and something called the Chirp Wheel+. “That algorithm works,” Kristen says, biting into a spinach salad at a café in Los Angeles.

We’ve just come from a grueling Pilates class at Studio Metamorphosis next door, where the star of this month’s Frozen II alternated between singing and grunting through planks, pikes, and lunges, and in one instance, gripped the high bars of the reformer and suspended her frame above the machine in a V shape.

Kristen is a muscular 5’1½”, but until this past year, she had never done one workout consistently. About a year ago, however, she found what she likes to call “Studio Morph,” and for the first time in her life, she fell in love with exercise.

“I’ve always felt mentally strong because I’m adept and can banter and hold my own in a good conversation,” says Kristen. “But I’ve never felt physically strong. I felt waifish…or pregnant. And I’m loving the fact that if we ever get attacked by ninjas, I would be a valuable asset.”

Ideally, she makes it to a class three times a week, usually with a friend. (After she brought writers from The Good Place, one texted her: “Kristen, what hospital do you typically go to after this class?”) It’s a challenging workout that incorporates cardio, circuit training, and CrossFit elements, and its benefits for Kristen are numerous.

“It’s about the muscle in my body. Having children obliterated my abdominal wall,” she says of giving birth to daughters Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 4. “Good night. That’s a wrap. And I thought, Well, it’s never going to come back. What do I need it for? I’m married. Spanx exist. You don’t get everything all the time.” [More at Source]
